Last week I got to do a shoot for Barre Fitness that incorporated: an outfit from Lululemon, boxing with All City Athletics, promoting Barre’s  Workout To Conquer Cancer team, and that major babe pictured above, Janelle Ordiales Astles.

Janelle just started teaching at Barre and I already love her so much. Check out her lifestyle blog, and follow her on instagram.

I was so happy to catch one of my favourite bands, Elliott BROOD, while they were in town, performing at (of all places) The Railway Club.

The venue was jam packed but I politely elbowed my way to the front (constantly apologizing and gesturing towards my SLR), and grabbed some shots.

I spent several days at the end of February photographing events for the Vancouver International Wine Festival.

I love shooting for them because the events are always entertaining, busy, and I have a ton of work to do/ground to cover. The time flies by, and I actually enjoy it.

I did lots of shots for them that had wine and food pairings this year (like the photo above).
Tough job when you get to sample them afterward as well, right?

Speaking of Hallmark Movies (see previous post), I finally got a screenshot of a photo that I took for the movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Impossible Dream.

I got the chance to go on set (they were shooting in Squamish) and snap a few shots of actress Crystal Lowe, playing Rita Haywith, in her element in the dead letter office.

The premise was that another character took the photo and submitted it (and a story she wrote) to a magazine. Always funny to see how it gets manipulated/photoshopped for a scene, which you can see above!

I have a few great outtakes that I particularly liked but didn’t make the cut (she was great in front of the camera), that I might post another time.

I was working on set last week on another Hallmark movie (called By Chance), playing…you guessed it…a photographer.

I’m not allowed to post the photos of the production going on (right now), but during the scenes I had to take photos at a fake event at an art gallery, so here’s one of the shots I ACTUALLY took of the dessert table set up.

I’ll post some screenshots in the future of my performance in the scene for sure.
