About a year ago I got the chance to take photos at an intimate session at b.b gun leather of Father John Misty.

This month, almost a year to the day, they held another session, this time with Mac Demarco! I can’t wait to see the footage that CBC took of the day, but in the meantime, watch the FJM cover of The Suburbs in the b.b gun shop!

On the May long weekend, I escaped the city briefly an headed up to Gun Lake with a few friends.

It was still a bit chilly, but the first night there was a full moon that lit up the lake and mountains, and during the day the glacial water was super clear (and cold, I decided to jump in at the last minute while the sun was out).

BC, you sure are pretty.

Last month I travelled to one of my favourite spots in BC, Osoyoos, for their annual oyster festival.

It might seem odd to have a oyster festival in the middle of the desert, but with the lake (or pool), and sunshine, and all of the wine?…it was a treat. 

When I was in Abbotsford in April for the Tulip Festival, I also got the chance to visit Field House Brewing with the rest of the media on the trip, for a great long table dinner prepared by Faspa and Co.

I love the aesthetic at Field House so much (they also obviously make some really good beer), and it was such a wonderful spot, and delicious meal. I wish they were closer to home…Abbotsford, you’re lucky!
